When it comes to headscarves, a lot of people see them as a way to control Muslim women who believe in the ideas of the Quran and believe they should be banned. But in reality, banning them has a lot more negative effects than positive for those affected by the ban. These effects are seen in the data, as Johan Norberg explains, and it’s a great example of the unintended consequences that can come from government regulation.
